About me

Portrait of Kristian Macias Goncalves
Kristian Macias Goncalves

I was born in Maracay, Venezuela, in 2001.

I grew up in a social and political environment where art had little room, where the practical and the necessary came first. Over time, I've found my place between two worlds: one of structures, business and solutions, and one of art, film, social issues and people. My journey in film began in Barcelona, and I now live in Madrid.

I'm driven by film and television that are about people. Stories that help us understand ourselves better, that help us discover what shapes us and what makes us who we are. I'm interested in what lies behind our decisions and contradictions, whether it happens here on Earth, a million stars away or in a completely different universe. Because even in the most extraordinary worlds, I want to find what makes us human.

Career

I'm a screenwriter and audiovisual producer, specialising in developing fiction projects for film and television.

I worked as executive producer on La pell que crema, an ESCAC Films short presented at MAFIZ, at the 2026 Málaga Film Festival, and currently in distribution. I was also part of the team behind Trenc d'alba, selected for La Cinef at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.

I'm currently part of Kever Films, where I work on series development, including the animated series Bobs, whose short film won an award at the 2026 Málaga Film Festival, among other festivals. Alongside this, I develop my own fiction projects as a screenwriter.
